Investigating muscle architecture in static and dynamic conditions is essential to understand muscle function and muscle adaptations. Muscle architecture analysis, primarily through extended field-of-view ultrasound imaging, offers high reliability at rest but faces limitations during dynamic conditions. Traditional methods often involve "best fitting" straight lines to track muscle fascicles, leading to possible errors, especially with longer fascicles or those with nonlinear paths.

Introduction: In response to continued public health emergency of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), a significant key strategy is the discovery of novel mycobacterial efflux-pump inhibitors (EPIs) as potential adjuvants in combination drug therapy. Interest in identifying new chemotypes which could potentially synergize with the existing antibiotics and can be deployed as part of a combination therapy. This strategy could delay the emergence of resistance to existing antibiotics and increase their efficacy against resistant strains of mycobacterial species.

We present a implementation method of light-sheet microscopy utilizing a highly miniaturized device that produces light-sheet illumination while immersed in the sample container. Our miniaturized plane illuminator (MPI) internally equips a two-axis beam-scanning mechanism based on a magnetostatically driven optical fiber cantilever. A light sheet is produced by fast scanning of the focused beam in an axis while the illumination plane can move in the other axis for positioning and 3D imaging.

However, their potential to improve measurement accuracy has not been thoroughly investigated. To address this gap, we reveal two unrecognized mechanisms enabled by differential-output signal (DS): self-compensation for odd-order periodic nonlinear error (PNE) and mitigation of PNE caused by ghost reflections.

The proposed sensor is realized by a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)-coated capillary tube coupling with an optical single-mode fiber (SMF), which is integrated with a fiber Bragg grating (FBG). The as-fabricated sensor can be used not only for relative humidity (RH) sensing but also for temperature detection.
