Background: Contemporary research has shown that acellular dermal matrices can benefit adult lower extremity traumatic injuries; however, its use in children has not been explored.
Objective: This study aims to explore the use of acellular dermal matrices in pediatric complex lower extremity trauma.
Methods: This single-center retrospective observational cohort study of children with complex lower extremity trauma treated with Pelnac™, commercial acellular dermal matrices, was conducted at a tertiary hospital in South Africa from 2010 to 2017.

Methods: The CPG development involved assembling a multidisciplinary group, prioritizing 10 key topic areas, conducting evidence searches, and synthesizing findings.

Recurrent aggressive lesions pose significant challenges and need wide local excision with major reconstruction. Geriatric patient with multiple comorbidities needs customized reconstructions to minimize morbidity.

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a debilitating condition caused by exposure to traumatic events, affecting 5-10% of the population, with increased prevalence among women and individuals in war zones. Beyond psychological symptoms, PTSD induces significant physiological changes across systems. Psychoneuroimmunoendocrinology (PNIE) offers a framework to explore these complex interactions between the psyche and the nervous, immune, and endocrine systems.
