Intracholecystic papillary neoplasm (ICPN) is a rare preinvasive neoplasm of the gallbladder. The lesion typically appears as a polypoid lesion or gallbladder wall thickening. We report a case involving a 40-year-old man with an ICPN that lacked typical polypoid lesions and was difficult to differentiate from adenomyomatosis because of the presence of intramural cysts.

Schwannomas occurring in the gallbladder are extremely rare. Preoperative diagnosis of gallbladder schwannomas appears to be very difficult because they are normally asymptomatic and are often found incidentally. Until now, only five cases have been reported in the literature.

Background: Gallbladder adenomyomatosis is a benign condition characterized by hyperplastic change in the gallbladder wall and overgrowth of the mucosa because of an unknown cause. Patients with gallbladder adenomyomatosis usually present with abdominal pain. However, we herein describe a case of a patient with gallbladder adenomyomatosis who did not present with abdominal pain, but with only fever.

Background: We investigated the presence of occult pancreaticobiliary reflux in patients with a morphologically normal pancreaticobiliary ductal arrangement by measuring biliary amylase levels and compared histopathological findings of the gallbladder between groups with high and low biliary amylase levels.
Methods: In 178 patients with a normal pancreaticobiliary ductal arrangement who had undergone endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), we sampled bile from the bile duct and measured amylase levels. Then we compared clinical features and histological findings of the gallbladder between high (HALG) and low amylase level groups (LALG).
