Background: Altered glucose metabolism is a critical characteristic from the beginning stage of esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC), and the phenomenon is presented as a pink-color sign under endoscopy after iodine staining. Therefore, calculating the metabolic score based on the glucose metabolic gene sets may bring some novel insights, enabling the prediction of prognosis and the identification of treatment choices for ESCC.

Graves' disease (GD) is an autoimmune disorder with a high incidence rate, particularly affecting women of reproductive age. Current treatment modalities for GD carry significant disadvantages, especially for pregnant or nursing women. As a novel extracorporeal therapeutic technique, high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) shows great promise for treating GD; however, its low treatment efficacy impedes clinical application.

Purpose: This study aimed to compare the effects of four sterilization techniques on meniscal allograft transplantation (MAT) in rabbits.
Methods: In total, 85 medial or lateral meniscuses were obtained from 22 adult New Zealand white rabbits. These 85 meniscal allografts were seeded with () and randomly divided into five groups (= 17): iodine group, Cobalt-60 group, glutaraldehyde group, ethylene oxide group and control group.

Background And Aims: As the main type of pancreatic diabetes, patients with new diabetes after chronic pancreatitis are often difficult to manage and have poor prognosis. This study aimed to figure out the association between dietary mineral intake and glucose metabolism with chronic pancreatitis.
Method: The study included 114 patients with chronic pancreatitis, who were grouped based on the sequence of onset for chronic pancreatitis and diabetes: normoglycaemia after chronic pancreatitis (NCP), type 2 diabetes (T2DM), and new-onset diabetes or pre-diabetes after chronic pancreatitis (NODCP).
