Resistance by bacteria to available antibiotics is a threat to human health, which demands the development of new antibacterial agents. Considering the prevailing conditions, we have developed a library of new naphthalimide-coumarin moieties as broad-spectrum antibacterial agents to fight against awful drug resistance. Preliminary studies indicate that compounds and display excellent antibacterial activity against , exceeding the performance of marketed drug amoxicillin.

Gallium, a trace metal not found in its elemental form in nature, has garnered significant interest as a biocide, given its ability to interfere with iron metabolism in bacteria. Consequently, several gallium compounds have been developed and studied for their antimicrobial properties but face challenges of poor solubility and formulation for delivery. Organizing the metal into three-dimensional, hybrid scaffolds, termed metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), is an emerging platform with potential to address many of these limitations.

Background: Postbiotics comprise soluble compounds freed from the structure of destroyed bacteria or created by living bacteria. Such byproducts provide the host with enhanced biological function as well as specific physiological consequences. This research aims to examine the characteristics and possible health advantages of -derived postbiotics.

The presence of toxic dyes in industrial waste dramatically diminishes the beneficial effects of remediation efforts. To overcome the hazardous impacts of dyes on biodiversity and environment, we integrated polymers into nanoparticles to substantially enhance their functionality and performance. 2 and 4 wt% of chitosan (CS) and 3 wt% of polyacrylic acid (PAA) doped cadmium selenide (CdSe) nanostructures (NSs) were prepared by co-precipitation approach.
