Objectives: We aimed to determine the compliance, safety, and acceptance of colon capsule endoscopy (CCE) and small bowel capsule endoscopy (SBCE) in an out-of-clinic setting remotely supported by medical staff.
Methods: We enrolled 30 examinees (24 with CCE and six with SBCE) who had not undergone CE at six gastroenterological centers. All examinees were provided with instructions on equipment and bowel preparations.

Objective: The noncompliance rate with routine or surveillance colonoscopies is high, and the underlying reasons remain unverified among Asian patients with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). This study aimed to examine the perceptions of Asian patients with IBD regarding bowel preparation and colonoscopy and their attitudes toward the recommended intervals for colonoscopies.
Methods: Using data from one medical center between July 2020 and May 2022, we analyzed the perceptions of bowel preparation and colonoscopy and attitudes toward examination intervals among 94 patients with IBD (Crohn's disease, 41; ulcerative colitis, 53).

A patient in his 70s, admitted to the cardiac intensive care unit with cardiogenic shock, unexpectedly presented with nasal myiasis during a workup for persistently elevated inflammatory markers. CT scans revealed sinusitis and bronchial secretions, while bronchoscopy identified mucus with positive pathogen testing. Nasal endoscopy was crucial in diagnosing myiasis, and immediate mechanical removal of larvae was performed.
