Introduction: Cardiac computerized tomographic angiography (CCTA) is perceived as a non-invasive tool for assessment of coronary vessel anatomy. Feature tracking echocardiography has recently emerged as a tool for assessment of regional and global left ventricular function. The concept of LA cardiopathy is supported by accumulating scientific evidence demonstrating that LA remodeling has become a cornerstone diagnostic and prognostic marker. The structure and the function of LA and left atrial appendage (LAA) which is an integral part of the LA, are key elements for a better understanding of multiple clinical conditions, most notably atrial fibrillation (AF), cardioembolism, heart failure and mitral valve diseases.

Aims: To evaluate the association between transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) and outcomes in patients with significant mitral regurgitation (MR) following acute myocardial infarction (MI), focusing on the aetiology of acute post-MI MR in high-risk surgical patients.
Methods And Results: The International Registry of MitraClip in Acute Mitral Regurgitation following Acute Myocardial Infarction (IREMMI) includes 187 patients with severe MR post-MI managed with TEER. Of these, 176 were included in the analysis, 23 (13%) patients had acute papillary muscle rupture (PMR) and 153 (87%) acute secondary MR.

Objectives: Multiple techniques have been proposed for functional fetal cardiology, including pulsed-wave (PW) and tissue Doppler imaging (TDI), Myocardial Performance Index (MPI), annular plane systolic excursion (TAPSE/MAPSE) and spatiotemporal image correlation (STIC). We aimed to compare these techniques' achievability and reproducibility to determine their clinical utility for each cardiac side.
Methods: Uncomplicated pregnancies from 22 to 39 weeks were recruited and images and volumes stored for offline analysis.

During flight, spatial disorientation (SD) commonly occurs when a pilot's perception conflicts with the aircraft's actual motion, attitude, or position. A prevalent form of SD is the somatogyral illusion, which is elicited by constant speed rotation and causes a false perception of motion in the opposite direction when the rotation ceases. This research aimed to investigate changes in brain activity that occur when experiencing a somatogyral illusion by simulating conditions closely mimicking flight conditions to gain insight into how to better manage this illusion during flight.
