Here, we report a photodynamic therapy (PDT) photosensitizer of NCN-coordinated Pt(II) complexes: [Pt(L)(solv)] (HL = 1,3-(2-dipyridyl)benzene) and [Pt(L)]@HSA, which is the Pt(II) complex encapsulated in human serum albumin (HSA). The quantum yield of singlet oxygen production for [Pt(L)(solv)] is more than 50%, while that for [Pt(L)]@HSA is much lower. Photoimages of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) treated with the Pt(II) complexes suggest that [Pt(L)(solv)] is delocalized in the entire cell after the fast uptake by diffusion and [Pt(L)]@HSA is taken up by endocytosis and localized on organelles and the cell membrane.

Oxidative stress, which is characterized by an imbalance between antioxidants and free radicals, plays a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of coronary heart disease, a common and serious cardiovascular condition, and contributes significantly to its development and progression. Serum free thiols are crucial components of the body's antioxidant defense system. The accurate determination of serum free thiol levels provides a reference basis for understanding the body's status and monitoring the risk factors associated with the occurrence and progression of coronary heart disease.

The high catalytic activity of Cu-based nanozymes mainly depends on the efficient Fenton-like reaction of Cu/ HO, but Cu cannot exist stably. Trying to find a material that can stably support Cu while promoting the electron cycle of Cu/Cu still faces serious challenges. C is expected to be an ideal candidate to solve this problem due to its unique structure and rich physicochemical properties.

The functionalization in position-7 of 7-deazaisoguanine and 7-deazapurin-2,6-diamine ribo- and 2'-deoxyribonucleosides by halogen atoms (chloro, bromo, iodo), and clickable alkynyl and vinyl side chains for copper-catalyzed and copper-free cycloadditions is described. Problems arising during the synthesis of the 7-iodinated isoguanine ribo- and 2'-deoxyribonucleosides were solved by the action of acetone. The impact of side chains and halogen atoms on the p values and hydrophobicity of nucleosides was investigated.
