Our preliminary research has demonstrated that administering oral yeast-cell microcapsule (YCM)-mediated DNA vaccines can effectively stimulate mucosal immunity, thereby preventing the occurrence of gastrointestinal diseases. In this study, the α-toxin gene was first cloned and the H126G and C-terminal (C247-370) mutations were created.

In this article, we report on the research on the synthesis of composites based on a porous, highly ordered silica material modified by a metallic nanophase and chitosan biofilm. Due to the ordered pore system of the SBA-15 silica, this material proved to be a good carrier for both the biologically active nanophase (highly dispersed silver nanoparticles, AgNPs) and the adsorption active phase (chitosan). The antimicrobial susceptibility was determined against Gram-positive ATCC 25923, Gram-negative bacterial strains ( ATCC 25922, ATCC 700603, and ATCC 27853), and yeast ATCC 90028.

This work aimed to fabricate and characterize cobalt oxide nanoparticles (CoOnps) synthesized biologically via aqueous Alhagi maurorum extract and evaluate their cytotoxic and antimicrobial impacts. In this study, the improvement mechanism of yeast proteins (YPs) with the ultrasonic and pH shifting treatment on the emulsion stability was investigated through the solubility, protein structure and interface behavior of YPs. Compared with only pH shifting or ultrasound treatment, the solubility of YPs with the combined treatment of ultrasonic and pH shifting was increased significantly. The soluble protein content of pH-U400 reached 85.
