Laser reduction of graphene oxide (GO) is a promising approach for achieving flexible, robust, and electrically conductive graphene/polymer composites. Resulting composite materials show significant technological potential for energy storage, sensing, and bioelectronics. However, in the case of insulating polymers, the properties of electrodes show severely limited performance.

Identification of crystal structures is a crucial stage in the exploration of novel functional materials. This procedure is usually time-consuming and can be false-positive or false-negative. This necessitates a significant level of expert proficiency in the field of crystallography and, especially, requires deep experience in perovskite-related structures of hybrid perovskites.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) stands as the most prevalent form of primary liver cancer and is frequently linked to underlying chronic liver conditions such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and cirrhosis. Despite the progress achieved in the field of oncology, HCC remains a significant clinical challenge, primarily due to its typically late-stage diagnosis and the complex and multifaceted nature of its tumor biology. These factors contribute to the limited effectiveness of current treatment modalities and result in poor patient prognosis.

Structural and photoelectric properties of p-i-n photodiodes based on GeSiSn/Si multiple quantum dots both on Si and silicon-on-insulator (SOI) substrates were investigated. Elastic strained state of grown films was demonstrated by x-ray diffractometry. Annealing of p-i-n structures before the mesa fabrication can improve the ideality factor of current-voltage characteristics.

Biofilms are critical for understanding environmental processes, developing biotechnology applications, and progressing in medical treatments of various infections. Nowadays, a key limiting factor for biofilm analysis is the difficulty in obtaining large datasets with fully annotated images. This study introduces a versatile approach for creating synthetic datasets of annotated biofilm images with employing deep generative modeling techniques, including VAEs, GANs, diffusion models, and CycleGAN.
