To determine whether a closed dressing protocol reduces the surgical site infections (SSI) rate compared to conventional closing techniques. Patients who underwent lumbar spine surgery at two neurosurgical centers were retrospectively included from June 2015 to December 2019. Data on patients, general risk factors, and surgical risk factors for SSI were collected.

Biosynthetic mesh has become more popular for immediate breast cancer implant-based reconstruction as an alternative to acellular dermal matrix (ADM) for soft tissue support. This meta-analysis investigates the various biosynthetic options available as well as complications and outcomes. PubMed, MEDLINE, and Embase were systematically reviewed for studies investigating the following types of mesh, TIGR, Vicryl, PDO, TiLOOP, Durasorb, and Galaflex, and their associated outcomes.

This literature review focuses on evaluating the potential benefits and limitations of exosomes in enhancing skin health and aesthetics through indications such as skin rejuvenation, hair restoration, and pigmentation disorders.
Methods: A thorough literature search was conducted on PubMed using specific MeSH, including "exosomes," "aesthetics," "cosmetic dermatology," "skin rejuvenation," "hair growth," and "wrinkle reduction.

Background And Objectives: The study aimed to investigate the potential pathogenesis and present an implant retention procedure for patients with titanium mesh exposure after cranioplasty.
Methods: The clinical data were obtained from 26 consecutive cases with titanium mesh exposure who underwent surgical treatment between 2018 and 2023. These patients' medical records, scalp photographs, operative notes, and outcomes were retrospectively analyzed.

The reliable engraftment of skin grafts into areas with complex shapes can be challenging. Here, we report a case of successful fixation of a genital skin graft using negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) with RENASYS Cotton Filler. A 44-year-old male with no relevant medical history underwent split-thickness skin grafting for a genital skin defect caused by Fournier's gangrene.
