Moral injury (MI) is a potential clinical problem characterized by functionally impairing moral emotions, beliefs, and behaviors as well as adverse beliefs about personal or collective humanity and life's meaning and purpose. MI can arise from personal transgressive acts or from being a victim of or bearing witness to others' inhumanity. Despite widespread interest in MI, until recently, there was no reliable measure of MI as an outcome, and prior research has revealed little about its causes, consequences, and intervention approaches.

Purpose: Despite group-level improvements in active engagement and related outcomes, significant individual variability in response to early intervention exists. The purpose of this preliminary study was to examine the effects of a group-based Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Intervention (NDBI) on active engagement among a heterogeneous sample of young autistic children in a clinical setting.

Method: Sixty-three autistic children aged 24-60 months ( = 44.

Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências do Movimento, Grupo de Pesquisa em Exercício e Nutrição na Saúde e Rendimento Esportivo (PENSARE), Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS). Av. Costa e Silva s/n, Cidade Universitária. 79070-900 Campo Grande MS Brasil.

We investigated if Brazilian Olympic athletes live longer than the general population, and if there are differences between the types of sport. This is a retrospective cohort study with secondary data analysis. Data from Brazilian athletes of both sexes were included, from the 7th edition (1920) to the 25th edition (1992) of the Modern Olympic Games.

The detailed chromatin assembly processes for many epigenetic regulatory complexes are largely unknown. Here, we present a protocol utilizing heterochromatin-targeting module (HTM) module-mediated chromatin tethering followed by microscopy-based visualization to detect the recruitment priority between two components in Polycomb repressive complex 1 (PRC1). Moreover, we detail procedures for detecting the resultant histone-modifying activities of PRC1 using immunofluorescence (IF) analyses.

Tensor networks enable the calculation of turbulence probability distributions.

Sci Adv

Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Cornell University, Ithaca, NY 14853, USA.

Predicting the dynamics of turbulent fluids has been an elusive goal for centuries. Even with modern computers, anything beyond the simplest turbulent flows is too chaotic and multiscaled to be directly simulatable. An alternative is to treat turbulence probabilistically, viewing flow properties as random variables distributed according to joint probability density functions (PDFs).
