Sternal fractures resulting from blunt chest trauma often present unique surgical challenges. While conservative management is common, cases with significant displacement, delayed union, or painful dyspnea may require surgical intervention to improve structural stability and relieve symptoms. Here, we report the case of a 46-year-old man who sustained a displaced sternal fracture in a motor vehicle accident.

: This study aimed to compare the effects of surgically assisted rapid palatal expansion (SARPE) techniques and their combinations on the stresses (von Mises, maximum principal, and minimum principal) and displacements that occur in the maxilla, facial bones, and maxillary teeth using three-dimensional finite element analysis (FEA). : SARPE was simulated using seven different osteotomy techniques. The FEA models were simulated with a combination of various osteotomies, including midpalatal and lateral osteotomies, lateral osteotomy with a step, and separation of the pterygomaxillary junction.

Background: Gingival recession defects (GRDs) pose functional and esthetic concerns and may be associated with unfavorable tooth positions. Surgically facilitated orthodontic treatment (SFOT) with clear aligners can be a valuable option for adults with severe malocclusion and GRDs.
Methods: A 28-year-old male presented with severe dental crowding, Class III dental malocclusion, localized tooth crossbites, and tapered maxillary arch.

Background: Although there are many works analyzing the clinical behavior of immediate loading of implants inserted by guided surgery, the literature referring specifically to elderly patients is scarce. The aim of this investigation is to present the clinical outcomes of immediate loading of implants inserted by guided surgery in geriatric patients with edentulous maxilla.
Material And Methods: The clinical data of 20 elderly patients with edentulous jaws are analyzed retrospectively.

Background: This study aimed to analyze the effects of maxillary molar distalization using clear aligners with different intramaxillary and intermaxillary traction via the three-dimensional (3D) finite element method.
Methods: A 3D finite element model consisting of the maxilla, mandible, dentitions, periodontal ligaments (PDLs), attachments, and clear aligners was constructed. Five groups were established based on different traction modalities: group 1 (control group); group 2 (orthodontic mini-implants (OMIs) were implanted between the maxillary first molars and the second premolars on the buccal side); group 3 (OMIs were implanted in the infrazygomatic crest area between the maxillary first and second molars on the buccal side); group 4 (OMIs were implanted between the maxillary first molars and the second premolars on the palatal side); and group 5 (class II elastics were utilized between the maxillary canines and the mandibular first molars).
