Terdizolamide phosphate (TZD), a second-generation oxazolidinone antibiotic with a long half-cycle, poses a potential threat to ecosystems and humans if present in water over an extended duration. Magnetic biochar (CF-biochar) loaded with CeFeO was firstly synthesized by microwave ablation-anaerobic carbonization using corn straw as raw material and Ce(NO) and Fe(NO) as modifiers. These modifiers were used as activators for peroxymonosulfate (PMS) and adsorbents for removing TZD.

Invasive social wasps and hornets pose significant threats to biodiversity, ecosystem services, and animal and human health. This review evaluates recent advances in invasive wasp and hornet management using criteria developed for assessing the feasibility of eradication and control programmes. I emphasise the importance and methods of early detection, citizen science, public involvement, and the role of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, drones, and radio telemetry for nest detection.

Cell-free DNA (cfDNA) is DNA released from dying cells into the serum. The aim of the present study is to elucidate the mechanism of cell-free DNA (cfDNA) release in postmortem subjects by assaying Cytokeratin 18 (M30 and M65), cyclophilin A (CyPA), and myeloperoxidase (MPO) levels and to evaluate whether these levels are useful as markers for estimating postmortem intervals. Serum (n = 54) was sampled from postmortem autopsied Japanese subjects.

Management of heterogeneous construction, renovation, and demolition (CRD) wood residues in Québec brings into light, a widespread topic under discussion related to their current disposal methods in landfills, that may lead to environmental concerns. With rising forfeitures from a legal standpoint, alternative treatment methods for CRD wood wastes are being explored. Thermochemical biomass conversion techniques can be employed to depolymerize low-quality end-of-life CRD wood and valorize it to bio-based products.

Background: Migrant populations may be highly susceptible to vaccine-preventable diseases (VPDs) due to factors such as mobility, legal status, and systemic health inequities. We explore systemic barriers to equitable immunisation services for migrant children and adolescents worldwide.
Methods: We conducted a scoping review following Arksey and O'Malley's framework, with guidance from Joanna Briggs Institute guidelines.
