Robotic-assisted laparoscopic nephroureterectomy (RALN) is a common approach for upper tract urothelial carcinoma (UTUC), offering advantages such as reduced morbidity and improved recovery. However, contralateral ureteral injury during bladder cuff excision is extremely rare and can be challenging to manage. We present the case of a 56-year-old male with low-grade urothelial carcinoma of the right renal pelvis who underwent RALN.

Introduction: Alectinib, a second-generation anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK) inhibitor, is pivotal in managing ALK-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) due to its efficacy and favorable safety profile. However, severe renal toxicity, including acute kidney injury (AKI), remains a rare but significant adverse effect.
Case Report: We present the case of a 71-year-old female with a history of diabetes and recently diagnosed ALK-positive NSCLC.
Mission P(D)ossible: peritoneal dialysis in difficult cases.

Indications for peritoneal dialysis (PD) have undergone a paradigm shift in recent years. Medical barriers previously viewed as contraindications for PD such as anuria, autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease, cardiovascular diseases or advanced age are increasingly re-examined. We learned that establishing a safe, functional and durable catheter access can be established even in patients with a variety of co-morbidities.

Background Information: Delayed graft function (DGF), defined as the need for dialysis within the first week of a kidney transplant, is a common complication, particularly in extended criteria donor transplants, where its incidence ranges from 21 to 31%.
Objectives: We observed a prolonged case of DGF in a 47-year-old patient with chronic kidney disease (CKD) resulting from diabetic nephropathy. The patient, classified in a moderate immunologic mismatch group, received a marginal deceased donor kidney.

HUS induced by shigatoxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC HUS) is a serious disease requiring dialysis in 50% of cases, but renal recovery is frequent. Renal sequelae such as proteinuria, arterial hypertension (AH) and chronic renal failure (CRF) are possible in 30% of cases. Several prognostic factors have been identified, the main one being the duration of anuria.
