This study aims to compare the expression levels of tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α) and interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) in osteoblasts infiltrated with H37Rv (H37Rv) and to understand the differential bone destruction in spinal tuberculosis (STB) versus spondylitis (BS). Primary osteoblasts were isolated and cultured from the cranial bones of 2-5 days old mice and characterized by alkaline phosphatase (ALP) staining and alizarin red staining (ARS). H37Rv and were cultured to the logarithmic phase, and transfection solutions were prepared.

This study emphasizes the potency of a bacteriocin screened from (MK733983) of ethnomedicinal origin. Antibiofilm analysis with 0.5-3x minimal bacteriocin concentrations with critical and highly prioritized standard microbes such as , , , , , and showed potential biofilm inhibition and eradication of ≥ 5-99%, ≥ 1-86% respectively that correlated with biofilm viable cell-count.

Background: Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection triggers various forms of host cell death, including ferroptosis in lung epithelial cells; YY1, a critical transcription factor, plays a pivotal role in regulating ferroptosis, however, the underlying mechanisms are not fully understood.
Methods: To investigate Mycobacterium marinum (M.marinum) infection in lung epithelial cells A549 and H1299, we utilized flow cytometry to evaluate cell death and measure reactive oxygen species (ROS).
Leprosy remains a significant neglected tropical disease despite the goal of elimination having been achieved in various endemic nations over the past two decades. Reactional episodes complicate the disease course, resulting in deformities and disability. The main aim of treatment is to kill Mycobacterium leprae and decrease the bacterial load, which could help prevent further bacilli transmission.
