Guinea-pigs have been sensitized with DNCB, DNP-guinea-pig serum and DNP-guinea-pig erythrocytes. Four, six and ten days after sensitization numbers of rosette-forming cells with DNP-erythrocytes were estimated in the draining lymph nodes. It was found that the numbers of DNP-erythrocyte RFC did not correlate with humoral immunity as estimated by haemagglutination assay, but did so with cell-mediated immunity estimated as delayed-type hypersensitivity. On the other hand histological examination of the draining lymph nodes gave no clear confirmation of such a relationship. Experiments on the antigenic specificity of RFC showed that after DNCB sensitization a clear increase in oxazolone-erythrocyte RFC and SRBC RFC can be found. These latter data suggest formation of RFC to be at least partly a non-specific phenomenon.

Literature covering diseases of the giant panda () is either in Chinese or focuses on infectious agents. Here we describe the clinical signs, gross and microscopic findings, and immunohistochemistry results of a B-cell lymphoma in multiple organs of a 35-y-old captive male giant panda. The animal was euthanized because of prolonged anorexia and vomiting.

Current histological classification of low-grade glioneuronal tumours does not adequately represent their underlying biology. The neural lineage(s) and differentiation stage(s) involved and the cell state(s) affected by the recurrent genomic alterations are unclear. Here, we describe dysregulated oligodendrocyte lineage developmental programmes in three low-grade glioneuronal tumour subtypes.

Background: This study aimed to investigate the clinicopathological characteristics, diagnostic indicators, and critical factors for the differential diagnosis of rosette-forming glioneuronal tumor (RGNT).

Patients And Methods: This retrospective study included six surgically treated RGNT cases. We analyzed and summarized their clinical manifestations, radiological features, histological morphology, immunophenotype, and molecular genetic changes, supplemented with a literature review.

H3 K27M mutation in rosette-forming glioneuronal tumors: a potential diagnostic pitfall.

Department of Diagnostics and Public Health, University of Verona, Policlinico G.B. Rossi, P.le L.A. Scuro, 10, 37138, Verona, Italy.

According to the fifth edition of the World Health Organization (WHO) classification of tumors of the central nervous system (CNS), diffuse midline glioma H3 K27-altered is a grade 4 infiltrative glioma that arises from midline anatomical structures and is characterized by the loss of H3 K27me3 and co-occurring H3 K27M mutation or EZHIP overexpression. However, the H3 K27M mutation has also been observed in circumscribed gliomas and glioneuronal tumors arising in midline anatomical structures, which may result in diagnostic pitfalls.Rosette-forming glioneuronal tumor (RGNT) is a CNS WHO grade 1 neoplasm that histologically features neurocytic and glial components and originates in midline anatomical structures.

Background: Drug-resistant epilepsy is a common condition in patients with brain neoplasms. The pathogenesis of tumor-associated seizures is poorly understood. Among the possible pathogenetic mechanisms, the increase in glutamate concentration has been proposed.
