Cytomegalovirus (CMV) pneumonia is an uncommon presentation of CMV among patients with HIV/AIDS, particularly in co-infection with pneumonia (PCP). A case was reported with a literature review, and a comprehensive literature search was performed using the PubMed/MEDLINE and Scopus databases. We report a 52-year-old male with AIDS presenting with progressively worsening dyspnea over 1 week.

Primary cardiac angiosarcomas are rare malignant tumors that can cause chest pain and heart failure symptoms. They can be diagnosed using multimodality imaging, primarily echocardiogram, with formal diagnosis requiring biopsy. A 56-year-old man with history of hypertension and dyslipidemia presented with acute crushing chest pain and shortness of breath.

An ECG demonstrated ischaemia with blood tests confirming myocardial injury; catheter angiography revealed an obstructed diagonal coronary artery. In addition, blood tests revealed elevated markers of inflammation, blood cultures grew and transthoracic echocardiography demonstrated a mitral valve lesion.

We present a case of coronary vasospasm that presented as an acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction following a syncopal event, which was preceded by an episode of crushing chest pain. This report discusses proper diagnosis and treatment of cardiogenic syncope and recurrent chest pain secondary to uncontrolled coronary vasospasm.
