Background: Patients undergoing gastrectomy often experience postprandial hypoglycaemia, late dumping syndrome, and night-time hypoglycaemia. However, countermeasures for post-gastrectomy hypoglycaemia rely on the patients' own efforts. We sought to investigate how post-gastrectomy hypoglycaemia could be nutritionally improved in patients with gastric cancer.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFObjective: To investigate the efficacy of reducing post-gastrectomy hemorrhage by increasing blood pressure at the end of gastric surgery and to evaluate whether this clinical intervention affects the stability of patients' postoperative circulatory system.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted on 499 patients who underwent radical gastrectomy under general anesthesia at our center between January 2023 and January 2024. After 1:1 propensity score matching, the experimental group comprised 157 patients whose operation cavities were examined after increasing blood pressure before the end of gastrectomy, while the control group included 157 patients whose operation cavities were examined using routine procedures without increasing blood pressure.

Background: The prognosis of Epstein-Barr virus-associated gastric cancer (EBVaGC)needs to be validated by high-quality studies. This study aimed to assess the long-term survival of EBVaGC patients after radical gastrectomy using multicenter data to explore the potential value of EBV infection status as a prognostic predictor.
Methods: We analyzed the clinical data of patients with EBVaGC and Epstein-Barr virus-negative gastric cancer (EBVnGC) who underwent radical gastrectomy from January 2013 to July 2020.

Background: To investigate the short-term efficacy of laparoscopic proximal gastrectomy (LPG) with modified side overlap anastomosis in comparison with laparoscopic total gastrectomy (LTG) with Roux-en-Y anastomosis.
Methods: A retrospective cohort study was conducted. The clinicopathological data of 262 patients who underwent LPG or LTG for upper gastric adenocarcinoma from January 2016 to December 2022 were collected.

Background: Although the emergence of immunotherapy has benefited patients with advanced gastric cancer (AGC), the magnitude of the benefit among real-world patients with HER2-negative AGC remains unclear.
Objectives: The current study aimed to evaluate the treatment features across various immunotherapy approval periods and investigate the utility of immunotherapy for patients with HER2-negative AGC in daily practice.
Design: Retrospective observational study.
