In this work, we evaluated the anticancer activity of compounds 1 (mononuclear) and 2 (dinuclear) copper(II) coordination compounds derived from the ligand 5-methylsalicylaldehyde 2-furoyl hydrazone (H2L) over MDA-MB-231 Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) cells, and compared their activities with that of a newly synthesized, protonated, dinuclear analogue of 2 (complex 3). Here, we report the synthesis of compound 3 and it has been characterized in the solid state (X-ray diffraction, FTIR) and in solution (EPR, UV-Vis, ESI) as well as its electrochemical profile. Unlabelled: In very preterm-born infants, nutritional intake is important to reduce the risk of severe metabolic bone disease including the risk of a lower bone mineral density (BMD). The aim of this study was to evaluate bone mineral content (BMC) and BMD (measured as BMC per bone area (BA)) at six years of age in very preterm-born infants fed different diets post-discharge. Data on this topic so far is insufficient, and with this study we aim to supply more useful data.

Purpose: Shear wave elastography (SWE) provides a means for adding information about the mechanical properties of tissues to a diagnostic ultrasound examination. It is important to understand the physics and methods by which the measurements are made to aid interpretation of the results as they relate to disease processes.
Methods: The components of how ultrasound is used to generate shear waves and make measurements of the induced motion are reviewed.

Chondrosarcoma-like malignant giant cell tumor (GCT) of the rib is an extremely rare and aggressive tumor, particularly in adolescents. This case report describes a 19-year-old female presenting with a GCT of the rib with chondrosarcomatous differentiation, highlighting the challenges posed by its unusual location and pathological complexity. Multidisciplinary diagnostic approaches, including advanced imaging, immunohistochemistry (IHC), and pathology, were essential for confirming the diagnosis.

Biodosimetry is crucial for assessing ionizing radiation exposure to guide medical responses. Electron spin resonance (ESR) spectroscopy using fingernails can be effectively used for both occupational and public dose assessments in radiological accidents because of their accessibility and ability to retain stable radiation-induced free radicals. However, despite two decades of research, challenges remain in achieving accurate fingernail dosimetry, mainly owing to the variation in ESR signals among individuals.
