In eukaryotes, chromatin is compacted within nuclei under the principle of compartmentalization. On top of that, condensin II establishes eukaryotic chromosome territories, while cohesin organizes the vertebrate genome by extruding chromatin loops and forming topologically associating domains (TADs). Thus far, the formation and roles of these chromatin structures in plants remain poorly understood.

Introduction: Spindle cell melanoma (SCM) is a rare melanoma subtype characterized histologically by atypical, spindled, malignant melanocytes. SCM often presents in older patients and lacks typical cytologic markers, complicating diagnosis and frequently leading to advanced disease upon presentation. While some studies have documented SCM incidence, none have thoroughly examined the demographic, socioeconomic, and treatment factors influencing survival outcomes.

Objective: To assess gene expression profiles in canine whole blood with and without septic peritonitis to assess workflow feasibility and identify potential blood biomarkers that could be further investigated in future studies.
Methods: This study enrolled 6 dogs with cytologically confirmed septic peritonitis of any cause and 6 healthy dogs. All dogs had a CBC and biochemistry performed.
