In this paper, a reduced graphene oxide/polypropylene (rGO/PP) dielectric composite with high dielectric constant and low dielectric loss at a low filler content was prepared constructing a segregated moderately-reduced graphene network by encapsulation of GO on PP latex particles and subsequent reduction of GO by hydrazine hydrate. GO/PP latex was prepared through artificial PP latex preparation in the presence of GO based on the solution-emulsification technique. As the emulsification proceeded, GO could self-assemble to become encapsulated on the surface of PP latex particles composed of PP and maleic-anhydride-grafted-PP because of the hydrogen bonding interaction between maleic-anhydride-grafted-PP and GO nanosheets.

Coevolution between plants and herbivores often involves escalation of defence-offence strategies, but attack by multiple herbivores may obscure the match of plant defence to any one attacker. As herbivores often specialize on distinct plant parts, we hypothesized that defence-offence interactions in coevolved systems may become physiologically and evolutionarily compartmentalized between plant tissues. We report that roots, leaves, flower buds and seeds of the tropical milkweed (Asclepias curassavica) show increasing concentrations of cardenolide toxins acropetally, with latex showing the highest concentration.

The different desorption concepts of the two polyelectrolytes PTMA5M and PTMC5M, which have similar molecular weights and differ in the charge density on the polystyrene sulfate latex (PSL) particles by 25 times, and with various charge densities in a long incubation, were systematically investigated based on hydrodynamic adsorbed layer thickness (δ) and electrophoretic mobility (EPM) under two ionic strengths in the present study. Herein, in the case of highly charged polyelectrolyte PTMA5M, desorption continued for 4 h and re-adsorbing proceeded after a longer incubation time higher than 4 h. Meanwhile, in the case of lowly charged polyelectrolyte PTMC5M, an adsorption-desorption equilibrium was suggested to take into account the unchanging of both δ and EPM.

Background: Pelvic organ prolapse is a common problem in women. About 40% of women will experience prolapse in their lifetime, with the proportion expected to rise in line with an ageing population. Women experience a variety of troublesome symptoms as a consequence of prolapse, including a feeling of 'something coming down' into the vagina, pain, urinary symptoms, bowel symptoms and sexual difficulties.

Forefoot defects caused by accidents are very common, but their reconstruction remains a substantial challenge for plastic surgeons. The purpose of this study is to determine the anatomical structure of the first metatarsal proximal perforator-based flap and to propose its clinical application. The study was divided into two parts: an anatomical study and a clinical application.
