Taihang is an indigenous breed in Hebei Province and has a long history of evolution. To uncover the genetic basis and protect the genetic resources, it is important to develop accurate markers to identify Taihang at the molecular level. In this study, a total of 137 individuals from Taihang and other 4 breeds were selected to construct a genome-wide SNP map.

Background: In South-east Asia, Dipterocarpoideae is predominant in most mature forest communities, comprising around 20% of all trees. As large quantity and high quality wood are produced in many species, Dipterocarpoideae plants are the most important and valuable source in the timber market. The d-borneol is one of the essential oil components from Dipterocarpoideae (for example, Dryobalanops aromatica or Dipterocarpus turbinatus) and it is also an important traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulation known as "Bingpian" in Chinese, with antibacterial, analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects and can enhance anticancer efficiency.

Invasive micropapillary carcinoma (IMPC) is a rare histological type of tumor, first described in invasive ductal breast cancer, than in malignancies in other organs such as lungs, urinary bladder, ovaries or salivary glands. Recent literature data shows that this histological lesion has also been found in cancers of the gastrointestinal system. The micropapillary components are clusters of neoplastic cells that closely adhere to each other and are located in distinct empty spaces.

In view of synchronous fluorescence possessing the character of good selectivity, high sensitivity, less interference, etc. it can be used for simultaneous determination of multi-component mixtures of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). A new method of constant-wavelength synchronous fluorescence spectrometry to determine two naphthalene and phenanthrene of PAHs was developed in this study.
