Background: Lymphedema diagnosis relies on effective imaging of the lymphatic system. Indocyanine green (ICG) lymphography has become an essential diagnostic tool, but globally accepted protocols and objective analysis methods are lacking. In this study, we aimed to investigate artificial intelligence (AI), specifically convolutional neural networks, to categorize ICG lymphography images patterns into linear, reticular, splash, stardust, and diffuse.

Cancer is an invasive and malignant growth of cells and is known to be one of the most fatal diseases. Its early detection is essential for decreasing the mortality rate and increasing the probability of survival. This study presents an efficient machine learning approach based on the state vector machine (SVM) to diagnose and classify tumors into malignant or benign cancer using the online lymphographic data.

Background: The lymph system plays important roles in maintaining fluid balances, the immune system, and lipid metabolism. After tissue replantation or transfer, some cases suffer long-lasting edema or lymphedema caused by interruption of main lymph flows; however, this mechanism has yet to be clarified.
Methods: The medical charts of 38 patients who underwent indocyanine green lymphography after tissue replantation or free flap transfer were reviewed to obtain data regarding clinical demographics, intraoperative findings, and postoperative indocyanine green lymphographic findings.

Background: Bioimpedance spectroscopy (BIS) is used by healthcare specialists to diagnose lymphedema. BIS measures limb fluid content by assessing tissue resistance to the flow of electric current. However, there is debate regarding the validity of BIS in diagnosing early lymphedema.

Background: Sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) became a standard procedure for patients with early breast cancer, however, an indication of SLN navigation to metastatic disease may lead to misdiagnosis for staging. Preoperative CTLG with a water-soluble iodinated contrast medium visualizes the correct primary SLNs and its afferent lymphatic channels surrounding detailed anatomy, therefore it can predict LN metastasis by visualizing the lymph vessel obstruction or stain defect of the SLN by tumor. The current study presents the value of CTLG for preoperative prediction for SLN status.
