Foot-and-Mouth Disease is a highly contagious transboundary animal disease. FMD has caused a significant economic impact globally due to direct losses and trade restrictions on animals and animal products. This study utilized multi-distance spatial cluster analysis, kernel density analysis, directional distribution analysis to investigate the spatial distribution patterns of historical FMD epidemics.

Objective: To investigate the prevalence and molecular characteristics of infections in sheep and goats in Anhui Province in 2020, so as to provide insights into ovine anaplasmosis prevention and control.
Methods: A total of 355 fresh blood samples were collected from 7 sheep and goat farms in Linquan County of Fuyang City, Lixin County of Bozhou City, Yu'an District of Lu'an City, Wangjiang County of Anqing City, Nanling County of Wuhu City, and Tianchang City and Fengyang County of Chuzhou City in Anhui Province from June to December 2020. and 16S ribosomal RNA () gene, major surface protein 4 () gene and citric acid synthase () gene were amplified using PCR assay in all blood samples, and the prevalence of , , and infections was calculated in sheep and goats.

Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) continues to pose a significant threat in Egypt, necessitating thorough analyses of FMD virus (FMDV) outbreaks. This study analyzed 144 suspected FMD cases across 52 animal collections during the years 2017-2018 and 2022. Recurrent FMD outbreaks in vaccinated dairy cattle were investigated.

The World Health Organization describes brucellosis as one of the world's leading zoonotic diseases, with the Middle East a global hotspot. Brucella melitensis is endemic among livestock populations in the region, with zoonotic transmission occurring via consumption of raw milk, amongst other routes. Control is largely via vaccination of small ruminant and cattle populations.

Developing an effective vaccine for haemorrhagic septicaemia (HS) in cattle and buffaloes is urgently needed. While preferred for their safety, achieving sufficient, cross-protective, and long-lasting immunity is still challenging when administering inactivated vaccines. This study aimed to assess the efficacy of four inactivating components comprising three inactivating agents: (1) Binary ethylenimine (BEI), (2) Formalin, (3) a combination of BEI and Formalin, and (4) Hydrogen peroxide (HO), in inactivating Pasteurella multocida to enhance HS vaccine potency.
