Unlabelled: Energy metabolism is a hub of governing all processes at cellular and organismal levels such as, on one hand, reparable vs. irreparable cell damage, cell fate (proliferation, survival, apoptosis, malignant transformation etc.), and, on the other hand, carcinogenesis, tumor development, progression and metastazing versus anti-cancer protection and cure.

Introduction: Metastatic lung adenocarcinoma in the thyroid is very rare. The clinical presentation and the radiological findings for metastasis carcinoma are nonspecific and do not allow the distinction between metastatic lung carcinoma and primary thyroid tumor.
Case Presentation: We report the case of a pulmonary papillary adenocarcinoma revealed by a thyroid metastasis in a 62-year-old and non-smoker patient with no history of cancer.

Introduction: Complete surgical resection constitutes the mainstay of treatment for locally aggressive, rarely metastazing tumor and low-grade soft tissue sarcomas (LAS). Local relapse is the most common tumor event, especially in the presence of positive margins (R1 margins). The aims of this study are to assess the impact of the national network on patient care and to evaluate the role of immediate re-excision in children, adolescents and young adults with incompletely resected LAS.

We report an unusual case of a 53-year-old woman who presented with multiple lung cystic lesions presumed to be related to pulmonary hydatidosis, treated and followed for 3 years before surgical removal was decided. Unexpectedly, pathologic findings showed benign spindle cell proliferation. Immunohistochemical staining confirmed the smooth-muscle nature of the spindle cells, which were also positive for hormonal receptors and corresponded to multiple cystic pulmonary hamartomas.

Background: Giant cell tumor of bone (GCTB) is an osteolytic, locally aggressive, rarely metastazing bone tumor. This is a retrospective study evaluating a large series of GCTB patients treated with denosumab in routine practice in 6 European reference centers.
Methods: Patients with locally advanced, unresectable or metastatic GCTB, treated with denosumab outside clinical trials were eligible.
