It has been debated whether endometriosis (EMS) adversely affects oocyte quality, potentially leading to a higher incidence of genetically unbalanced embryos or other egg factors that affect the developmental potential. In this study, we explored the effects of endometriosis on risk of chromosomally aberrant in miscarried products of conception (POC) after assisted reproductive treatment (ART), including fresh and frozen cycles. Miscarried POCs were collected from EMS patients (N = 102) and non-EMS patients (N = 441).

Introduction: Ovarian cancer is one of the most lethal gynecological cancers. Despite diagnosis and treatment advances, survival rates have not increased over the past 32 years. This study estimated and reported the global burden of ovarian cancer during the past 32 years to inform preventative and control strategies.

Background: Li-Fraumeni syndrome (LFS) is an autosomal dominant tumor predisposition syndrome characterized by a high familial incidence of various malignancies. It results from pathogenic/likely pathogenic heterozygous constitutional variants of the TP53 gene. Due to impaired DNA damage repair, conventional cytotoxic therapies or radiotherapy should be avoided whenever feasible to mitigate the high incidence of treatment-related secondary malignancies in these patients.

Gynecologic cancers (GCs), including cervical cancer (CC), ovarian cancer (OC), endometrial cancer (EC), as well as vulvar and vaginal cancers, represent major health threats to women, with increasing incidence rates observed globally. Conventional treatments, such as surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy, are often hindered by challenges such as drug resistance and recurrence, contributing to high mortality rates. Organoid technology has emerged as a transformative tool in cancer research, offering in vitro models that closely replicate the tumor cell architecture and heterogeneity of primary cancers.
