Abnormal tryptophan metabolism is closely linked with neurological disorders. Research has shown that indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase 1 (IDO-1), the first rate-limiting enzyme in tryptophan degradation, is upregulated in Parkinson's disease (PD). However, the precise role of IDO-1 in PD pathogenesis remains elusive.

Objectives: To investigate the effect of gut microbiota from postmenopausal osteoporosis patients on bone mass in mice.
Methods: Fecal samples were collected from postmenopausal women with normal bone mass (Con, n=5) and postmenopausal women with osteoporosis (Op, n=5). Microbial composition was identified by shallow shotgun sequencing.

Microplastics (MPs) and antibiotics can enter groundwater through the interaction of soil and surface water, and MPs as carriers of antibiotics can promote the migration of antibiotics and thus generate more serious ecological risks. Therefore, this paper used experimental and molecular dynamics (MD) simulation methods to investigate the sorption between four common types of MPs in groundwater, namely polyamide (PA), polystyrene (PS), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and polyethylene (PE), and oxytetracycline (OTC) with high detection rate in groundwater. Additionally, the impact of environmental factors on sorption was examined.

This paper describes the synthesis of CoFe₂O₄ nanoparticles via a simple ultrasonic-assisted co-precipitation method and their functionalization with thiol groups using (3-Mercaptopropyl)trimethoxysilane (MPTS) as the functionalizing agent. The use of ultrasonic energy not only serves as a green energy source but also reduces the reaction time fivefold compared to conventional methods. The synthesized CoFe₂O₄ nanoparticles were characterized for their surface and internal properties using instrumental techniques such as Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Vibrating Sample Magnetometer (VSM).

Discussion: We discuss four high-risk cases that were managed with a multi-disciplinary approach, including baseline cardiac risk assessment and surveillance with multimodal cardiac imaging and serum cardiac biomarkers, elective supportive care in the intensive care unit, and early treatment of cytokine release syndrome.
Conclusion: CAR-T therapy can be effective and safe in the treatment of B-cell blood cancers with intra-cardiac disease.
