Bovine tuberculosis (BTB) is an infectious disease of livestock and wildlife species that is caused by pathogenic members of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex such as Mycobacterium bovis. Due to the introduction of M. bovis-infected bison in the 1920s, BTB is now endemic in wood bison (Bison bison athabascae) population within the Wood Buffalo National Park (WBNP) in northern Canada.

This study investigated the effect of surgery on the prognosis of patients with primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) using data from the surveillance, epidemiology, and end results (SEER) database. A cohort of 5932 patients was analyzed, with 1466 undergoing surgical intervention (780 subtotal resection (STR), 686 gross total resection (GTR)) and 4466 receiving no surgery or biopsy only. The median age of the study population was 61.

Introduction: Solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) is a fibroblastic neoplasm of uncertain biological origin that is rare in the tongue.
Case Report: A 42-year-old woman presented with a painless, submucosal nodule in the tongue. Based on the clinical hypothesis of benign mesenchymal neoplasia, the lesion was excised, and the specimen was submitted for histopathological analysis.

Lactococcus petauri is an emerging pathogen causing piscine lactococcosis in various aquatic species. This disease has been increasingly reported as a cause of mortality in aquaculture. Due to the indiscriminate use of antimicrobials and to promote viable alternatives for their replacement, bioactive peptides with antimicrobial properties can be explored as tools against bacterial infections.
