Objective: To investigate differences in arterial involvement patterns on F-FDG PET-CT between predominant cranial and isolated extracranial phenotypes of giant cell arteritis (GCA).
Methods: A retrospective review of F-FDG PET-CT findings was conducted on 140 patients with confirmed GCA. The patients were divided into two groups: the cranial group, which presented craniofacial ischemic symptoms either at diagnosis or during follow-up, and the isolated extracranial group which never exhibited such manifestations.

Background: Unrestricted kinematic alignment (uKA) in total knee arthroplasty (TKA) has the theoretical advantage of reproducing patients' constitutional alignment and restoring the pre-arthritic joint line position and obliquity. However, modifications of the original uKA technique have been proposed due to the potential risk of mechanical failure and instability. Given the significant variability in soft tissue behavior within the same bony morphology group, uKA pure knee resurfacing could be occasionally detrimental.

Coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) using cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) causes a systemic inflammatory response that can worsen patient outcomes. Off-pump surgery has been associated with a reduced inflammatory response. The precise mechanisms and the role of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in this context are not fully understood.
