Emergency bleeding presents significant challenges such as high blood flow and rapid hemorrhaging. However, many existing hemostatic bandages face limitations, including the uncontrolled release of hemostatic agents, insufficient mechanical strength, poor adhesion, and complex manufacturing processes. To address these limitations, we developed a multifunctional hydrogel bandage for emergency hemostasis using a one-pot synthesis method.

Background: Correct identification of the epidural space requires extensive training for technical proficiency. This study explores a novel bimanual haptic simulator designed for the precise insertion of an epidural needle based on loss-of-resistance (LOR) detection, providing realistic dual-hand force feedback.
Methods: The simulator, equipped with two haptic devices connected to a Tuohy needle and an LOR syringe, was designed to simulate the tissues' resistive forces felt by the user during the procedure, offer anatomical variability and record detailed performance metrics for personalized feedback.

Background: Frontotemporal degeneration (FTD) is a complex, heterogeneous group of fatal adult-onset disorders which lead to progressive dysfunction in behavior, motor symptoms, language, and/or cognition. While advances in research are cause for optimism, trials are hindered by the availability of participants. As FTD clinical trials typically require co-participation of a study partner, care partner perspectives on research are critical to understanding how to support recruitment and retention.

Backgrounds: Urethral catheter obstruction is a notable issue that pediatric patients with hypospadias may encounter in the early postoperative period. This retrospective study aims to assess the efficacy of open-ended urethral catheters with 2 side holes in mitigating catheter obstruction in pediatric patients following hypospadias repair.
Materials And Methods: The clinical data of pediatric patients who underwent hypospadias repair surgery from January 2021 to October 2023 were retrospectively collected.
