Efficient CO2 capture at concentrations between 400-2000 ppm is essential for maintaining air quality in a habitable environment and advancing carbon capture technologies. This study introduces NICS-24 (National Institute of Chemistry Structures No. 24), a Zn-oxalate 3,5-diamino-1,2,4-triazolate framework with two distinct square-shaped channels, designed to enhance CO2 capture at indoor-relevant concentrations.

In this study, we synthesized a water-based, rosin-modified, polymerized oil (WRPO) an addition and polymerization reaction of dehydrated castor oil (DCO), rosin acid (RA), zinc resinate (ZR) and dehydrated castor oil acid (DCOA). Addition and polymerization reactions at 240 °C, followed by neutralization with ammonia, dissolution into butyl alcohol and subsequent dilution with water, were performed at varying DCOA contents of 10%, 20%, 30%, 35% and 40%. WRPO was mixed with butoxymethylmelamine (BMM), a curing agent, at a weight ratio of 80 : 20, and then cured for 2 hours at 130 °C.

Background: Infections from the hepatitis B virus (HBV) are a major risk factor for hepatocellular carcinoma, one of the most common types of liver cancer. Circulating cell-free DNA (ccfDNA) in human plasma can be used as a non-invasive biomarker for diagnosing HBV-related liver diseases. The isolation of target ccfDNA sequences is often challenging due to the co-extraction of highly abundant non-target DNA from samples.

Background: Current guidelines recommend application of the 99th percentile to determine the cut-off value on at least 120 healthy donors regardless of sex for lupus anticoagulant (LA) ratio of each step. However, a statistically significant difference between the sexes has been found for LA ratio recently.
Objectives: To clarify whether this sex difference in dilute Russell's viper venom time (DRVVT) exists in various detection systems and the necessity of setting sex-specific cut-off values.
