Omaha System-Based Extended Nursing Care in Hypertensive Cerebral Hemorrhage: A Randomized Study.

J Trauma Nurs

January 2025

Author Affiliations: Department of Neurosurgery (Dr Xiao), Department of Nursing Care, Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University, Chengdu, China (Dr Wang).

Background: Traditional nursing care often fails to meet the complex needs of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage patients. Limited evidence exists on the efficacy of structured nursing frameworks such as the Omaha System in postoperative care for these patients.

Objective: This study aims to evaluate the efficacy of Omaha-based extended nursing care in improving patients' outcomes.

Olfactory-Inspired Separation-Sensing Nanochannel-Based Electronics for Wireless Sweat Monitoring.

ACS Nano

January 2025

CAS Key Laboratory of Bio-inspired Materials and Interfacial Science, Technical Institute of Physics and Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100190, P.R. China.

Human sweat has the potential to be sufficiently utilized for noninvasive monitoring. Given the complexity of sweat secretion, the sensitivity and selectivity of sweat monitoring should be further improved. Here, we developed an olfactory-inspired separation-sensing nanochannel-based electronic for sensitive and selective sweat monitoring, which was simultaneously endowed with interferent separation and target detection performances.

Design, Synthesis, and Pharmacological Evaluation of Nonsteroidal Tricyclic Ligands as Modulators of GABA Receptors.

J Med Chem

January 2025

Department of Drug Design and Pharmacology, Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, University of Copenhagen, Universitetsparken 2, Copenhagen DK-2100, Denmark.

GABA receptors (GABARs) are the major elements of inhibitory neurotransmission in the central nervous system (CNS). They are established targets for regulation by endogenous brain neuroactive steroids (NASs) such as pregnanolone. However, the complexity of de novo synthesis of NAS derivatives has hindered attempts to circumvent the principal limitations of using endogenous NASs, including selectivity and limited oral bioavailability.

Bruton's tyrosine kinase (BTK) is a major drug target in immune cells. The membrane-binding pleckstrin homology and tec homology (PH-TH) domains of BTK are required for signaling. Dimerization of the PH-TH module strongly stimulates the kinase activity of BTK in vitro.
