Background: Early menarche is associated with both physical and psychosocial problems. Based on psychological and physical health considerations, for girls with early menarche, some parents and physicians may elect to use gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists (GnRHa) to delay menstruation. This study aimed to explore the effects of GnRHa treatment on the final height of girls with early menarche and build the models to predict the final adult height (FAH).

Until recently the focus in diabetes care was on managing blood glucose - a glucocentric view. This is changing to a more holistic model aimed at prevention, treatment and management through lifestyle interventions as well as medication. An estimated 5 million people in the UK are living with diabetes, most have type 2 diabetes which is associated with obesity.

Multiple factors contribute to the widening gap between supply and demand of endocrinology services. In addition to the inadequate growth of the workforce, the inefficient utilization of endocrinologists' expertise coupled with the rising prevalence of endocrine conditions has generated a crisis in access to specialty care. This mismatch is magnified in underserved communities and among certain racial/ethnic groups that carry a disproportionate burden of chronic diseases, like diabetes and osteoporosis, thus perpetuating the cycle of health disparities in vulnerable populations.

Background: The incidence of thyroid cancer has been rapidly increasing in recent years largely due to improved diagnostic methods. There is evidence to suggest that in papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC), active surveillance (AS) is comparable in effectiveness compared to immediate surgery (IM). We conducted a survey of Clinicians and Surgeons from Australia and New Zealand to assess the role of AS in the management of PTMC.
