Background: Recent advancements in connectome analyses allow for more fine-grained measurements of brain network integrity. One measure of integrity is resilience, or the capacity of the network to retain functionality when confronted with endogenous or exogenous perturbations that result in damage or error. We assessed the impact of individual differences in the resilience of resting BOLD connectivity on the relationship between cognitive and brain changes in a lifespan cohort of cognitively healthy adults over a 5-year period.

Background: Widely used neuropsychological test instruments are notoriously biased across the demographics of age, sex/gender, education, language and culture. This includes verbal memory tests that elicit speech such as the paragraph recall or list-learning memory tests. Language tests are similarly biased, including the Boston Diagnostic Aphasia Examination Cookie Theft Test (CTT) that has been used to elicit both written and spoken responses for decades.

Peripheral RNA may be a powerful tool for in-depth tracking of biological processes in AD and related disorders. Here, we combine whole-blood microarray data from Alzheimer's Disease Neuroimaging Initiative (ADNI; N=743) and RNA-Seq from Translational Biomarkers in Aging and Dementia (TRIAD; N=77) and Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI; N=33) cohorts to predict cognitive performance across AD spectrum.

Background And Objectives: Patients with primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) have a reduction in exercise capacity from the early stages. Although there are studies investigating these patients' lower extremity exercise capacity using various methodologies, there needs to be more research on the functional exercise capacity of the upper extremities. This study aimed to compare pulmonary function, upper extremity functional exercise capacity, muscle oxygenation, muscle strength, and physical activity level in children with PCD and controls.

Background: Worsening pulmonary health may be independently associated with declining cognitive function. However, the association between specific types of pulmonary impairment with cognitive function is not well understood. The present study aims to determine the differential impact of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and Preserved Ratio Impaired Spirometry (PRISm) in a rural Indian aging cohort METHOD: Data from participants (n = 1223) of the Srinivaspura Aging, Neuro Senescence and COGnition (SANSCOG) cohort were analyzed.
