Goose astrovirus (GoAstV) has emerged as a significant pathogen affecting the goose industry in China, with GoAstV-2 becoming the dominant genotype since 2017. This study explores the genetic and structural factors underlying the prevalence of GoAstV-2, focusing on codon usage bias, spike protein variability, and structural stability. Phylogenetic and effective population size analyses revealed that GoAstV-2 experienced rapid expansion between 2017 and 2018, followed by population stabilization.

Bovine viral diarrhea virus (BVDV) is an important pathogen affecting dairy cattle all over the world by causing significant economic losses due to reproductive and respiratory problems, immunosuppressive effects, increased risk of morbidity, and calf mortality. A cross-sectional study was conducted from February 2021 to August 2021 to determine the seroprevalence of bovine viral diarrhea (BVD) and identify risk factors associated with its occurrence in and around Nekemte Town of Ethiopia. Blood samples were collected from 305 dairy cattle of 41 herds by using cluster-sampling method.

Currently, no approved antiviral drugs target dengue virus (DENV) infection, leaving treatment reliant on supportive care. DENV vaccine efficacy varies depending on the vaccine type, the circulating serotype, and vaccine coverage. We investigated defective interfering particles (DIPs) and lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) to deliver DI290, an anti-DENV DI RNA.

Deformable image registration is a cornerstone of many medical image analysis applications, particularly in the context of fetal brain magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), where precise registration is essential for studying the rapidly evolving fetal brain during pregnancy and potentially identifying neurodevelopmental abnormalities. While deep learning has become the leading approach for medical image registration, traditional convolutional neural networks (CNNs) often fall short in capturing fine image details due to their bias toward low spatial frequencies. To address this challenge, we introduce a deep learning registration framework comprising multiple cascaded convolutional networks.

Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) is a non-invasive neuroimaging technique widely utilized in the research of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), providing preliminary insights into the potential biological mechanisms underlying ASD. Deep learning techniques have demonstrated significant potential in the analysis of rs-fMRI. However, accurately distinguishing between healthy control group and ASD has been a longstanding challenge.
