Bone marrow aspiration is an essential procedure for diagnosing hematological conditions and therapeutic applications, such as bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC) therapy for non-union of bones. This report presents a case of a 35-year-old male with femoral non-union treated with BMAC, requiring the collection of a large bone marrow aspirate volume. A novel, low-cost modification to the standard bone marrow aspiration apparatus was developed using components from an intravenous (IV) drip set, including a rubber bulb connector and a luer lock connector.

This study investigates the significance of single-walled (SWCNTs) and multi-walled (MWCNTs) carbon nanotubes with a convectional fluid (water) over a vertical cone under the influences of chemical reaction, magnetic field, thermal radiation and saturated porous media. The impact of heat sources is also examined. Based on the flow assumptions, the fundamental flow equations are modeled as partial differential equations (PDEs).

School of Chemistry and Biological Engineering, Beijing Key Laboratory for Bioengineering and Sensing Technology, Daxing Research Institute, University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing 100083, P. R. China.

Microneedles have provided promising platforms in various fields thanks to their safety, painlessness, minimal invasiveness and ease of operation. The excellent adhesion of microneedles is the key characteristic to achieve long-term and comfortable treatment. However, a complex environment, such as the roughness of skin, various bodily fluids , and the movement of the body, presents great challenges to the adhesion characteristics of microneedles.

Hirschsprung's disease (HSCR) is characterized by congenital absence of ganglion cells in the gastrointestinal tract, which leads to impaired defecation, constipation and intestinal obstruction. The current diagnosis of HSCR is based on Rectal Suction Biopsies (RSBs), which could be complex in newborns. Occasionally, there is a delay in diagnosis that can increase the risk of clinical complications.

The failure of locked-segment landslides is associated with the destruction of locked segments that exhibit an energy accumulation effect. Thus, understanding their failure mode and instability mechanism for landslide hazard prevention and control is critical. In this paper, multiple instruments, such as tilt sensors, pore water pressure gauges, moisture sensors, matrix suction sensors, resistance strain gauges, miniature earth pressure sensors, a three-dimensional (3D) laser scanner, and a camera, were used to conduct the physical model tests on the rainfall-induced arch locked-segment landslide to analyze the resulting tilting deformation and evolution mechanism.
