The polygenic score (PGS) holds promise for motivating preventive behavioral changes. However, no clinically validated standardization methodology currently exists. Here, we demonstrate the efficacy of a "reference-based" approach for standardization.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the willingness to pay (WTP) of the Japanese population for the transmission prevention function of SARS-CoV-2 antiviral treatments and identify the attributes associated with higher WTP.

Methods: A web-based survey (registration number: UMIN000054955) was conducted from May 17 to June 1, 2024, targeting a general population using a survey company panel. We aimed to obtain around 3,000 valid responses.

Digital cognitive testing using online platforms has emerged as a potentially transformative tool in clinical neuroscience. In theory, it could provide a powerful means of screening for and tracking cognitive performance in people at risk of developing conditions such as Alzheimer's disease. Here we investigate whether digital metrics derived from an in-person administered, tablet-based short-term memory task-the 'What was where?' Oxford Memory Task-were able to clinically stratify patients at different points within the Alzheimer's disease continuum and to track disease progression over time.

Background: Globally, adolescent mothers are at increased risk for postpartum depression (PPD). In Kenya, 15% of adolescent girls become mothers before the age of 18. While social support can buffer a mother's risk of PPD, there are gaps in knowledge as to whether-and which types-of social support are protective for adolescent mothers in Kenya.

Monitoring fluid intake and output for congestive heart failure (CHF) patients is an essential tool to prevent fluid overload, a principal cause of hospital admissions. Addressing this, bladder volume measurement systems utilizing bioimpedance and electrical impedance tomography have been proposed, with limited exploration of continuous monitoring within a wearable design. Advancing this format, we developed a conductivity digital twin from radiological data, where we performed exhaustive simulations to optimize electrode sensitivity on an individual basis.
