Ionic conductive hydrogels (ICHs) have recently gained prominence in biosensing, indicating their potential to redefine future biomedical applications. However, the integration of these hydrogels into sensor technologies and their long-term efficacy in practical applications pose substantial challenges, including a synergy of features, such as mechanical adaptability, conductive sensitivity, self-adhesion, self-regeneration, and microbial resistance. To address these challenges, this study introduces a novel hydrogel system using an imidazolium salt with a ureido backbone (UL) as the primary monomer.

(-) Epicatechin rich foods and (-) epicatechin improve cardiovascular function. Consumption of diets rich in flavonoids is associated with reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases. Oxidative stress resulting from increased production of free radicals associated with decreased levels of antioxidants in the myocardium plays a major role in the pathogenesis of myocardial infarction.

Inflammation plays a pivotal role in the pathophysiology of non-ST elevation acute coronary syndromes (NSTEACS). Intensive statin therapy reduces the recurrence of cardiovascular events after acute coronary syndromes. The aim of this study was to examine nuclear factor-kappa B activity in peripheral blood mononuclear cells, prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) and leukotriene B4 levels, and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9) activity in plasma from patients with NSTEACS (at 0 days, 4 days, 2 months, and 6 months), patients with stable coronary artery disease, and healthy controls.
