Objective: To explore the association between 75 candidate genes previously reported in subjects with anxiety symptoms (AS) and depressive symptoms (DS) in a Mexican cohort.
Methods: The sample included 2012 individuals from the Mexican Genomic Database for Addiction Research (MxGDAR/Encodat) cohort, 198 showed AS, 266 DS, 66 anxiety and depressive symptoms (ADS), and 1482 healthy controls. The DI-PAD screening questionnaire was used to evaluate lifetime AS and DS.

Background: To explore continuities and changes in gambling behaviour during the COVID-19 pandemic and the factors that influenced these among a sample of regular sports bettors.
Methods: A longitudinal qualitative study using in-depth interviews. Sixteen sports bettors living in Britain took part in the first interviews in July-November 2020, and 13 in the follow-up interviews in March-September 2021.

Tunneled dialysis catheter (TDC) placement plays an essential role in hemodialysis patients. These catheters are inserted in a significant number of patients prior to establishing permanent dialysis access. Insertion is often simple and straightforward, and the preference is to use the right internal jugular vein due to fewer chances of long-term complications.

Despite offering several potential benefits over standard prosthetic aortic valve replacement, the use of the pulmonary autograft has been limited to date due to concerns over the risk of pulmonary autograft expansion and the need for reintervention. Several techniques using materials with biomimetic potential have been developed to reduce this complication. The incidence, risk factors, and pathophysiology of pulmonary autograft dilatation are discussed in this article.
