Objective: The effect of the daily consumption of a low-fat yogurt (150 g) enriched with Platelet-Activating Factor receptor (PAF-R) antagonists, or the plain one, on gut microbiota and faecal metabolites was investigated in healthy overweight subjects.
Methods: A randomized, three-arm, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-group study was performed that lasted 8 weeks. Blood and stools were collected and analyzed before and after the intervention.

Background: In clinical practice, oral probiotics are often given to children with hyperbilirubinaemia who receive phototherapy, but the exact mechanism of the action of the probiotics on hyperbilirubinaemia remains unclear. It is unclear how the effects of phototherapy on the probiotic flora in the neonatal gut, in particular.
Materials And Methods: Fifty newborns who needed phototherapy from June 2018 to June 2020 were selected as the study subjects, and five healthy newborns in the same period were used as controls to analyse the changes in probiotic bacteria in their faeces.
