Background: Due to the divers biological applications of Cu(II) complexes, we in this study reports the various Cu(II) complexes. The study aims to synthesize and assess new Cu(II) complexes as powerful β-glucuronidase inhibitors.
Methods: Five Schiff base ligands and their complexes were synthesized, characterized, and screened against β-glucuronidase inhibitory activity.

Chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML) is primarily treated using imatinib mesylate, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) targeting the BCR::ABL1 oncoprotein. However, the development of drug resistance and adverse side effects necessitate the exploration of alternative therapeutic agents. This study presents the synthesis and characterization of a novel imatinib analogue, 3-chloro--(2-methyl-5-((4-(pyridin-2-yl)pyrimidin-2-yl)amino)phenyl)benzamide (PAPP1).

Crystals in urinary sediment are commonly recognized structures, typically identified by a combination of crystal morphology and urine pH. In this paper, we present the first reported case of EDDP (2-ethylidene-1,5-dimethyl-3,3-diphenylpyrrolidene) crystals, the primary metabolite of methadone, in a 67-year-old male with hepatorenal syndrome. Routine urinalysis revealed numerous needle-shaped crystals, which prompted further investigation.

Objective: The objective of this study was to explore the ability of dual-energy computed tomography (DECT) to detect monosodium urate (MSU) crystal deposits in the kidneys and renal artery walls, and uric acid urolithiasis, in patients with gout and chronic kidney disease (CKD).
Methods: Patients with gout and with stage 2-4 CKD were prospectively included in this cross-sectional study. Patients underwent renal, knee and feet DECT scans.
