Background: Marginal zone lymphomas are indolent B-cell lymphomas associated with autoimmunity and chronic inflammation. The two most frequent variants are mucosa associated lymphoid tissues marginal zone lymphomas and splenic marginal zone lymphomas. The aim of the study was to determine if it is possible to classify splenic and gastric lymphomas according to karyometric features.

By identifying aggressive cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) in patients who are at high risk for recurrences or second primaries after resection, intensive surveillance and therapy may decrease morbidity and mortality. We investigated the role of nuclear morphometry (karyometry) in differentiating between aggressive and nonaggressive cSCC. We retrospectively analyzed cSCC lesions from 40 male patients.

Objective: To reveal the differences in the parameters of the second order regression curve with a cluster of experimental points on scattergrams showing the dependence of the perimeter on the area of tumor cell nuclei between ductal carcinoma and fibroadenoma of the mammary gland.

Study Design: Punctate smears taken from patients with ductal carcinoma and fibroadenoma of the mammary gland with coincident histologic and cytologic conclusion were studied and selected. Karyometry of tumor cells was performed with the help of a semiautomatic computer analyzer of digital images.
