Large vertebrate genomes duplicate by activating tens of thousands of DNA replication origins, irregularly spaced along the genome. The spatial and temporal regulation of the replication process is not yet fully understood. To investigate the DNA replication dynamics, we developed a methodology called RepliCorr, which uses the spatial correlation between replication patterns observed on stretched single-molecule DNA obtained by either DNA combing or high-throughput optical mapping.

Air pollution in cities, especially NO, is linked to numerous health problems, ranging from mortality to mental health challenges and attention deficits in children. While cities globally have initiated policies to curtail emissions, real-time monitoring remains challenging due to limited environmental sensors and their inconsistent distribution. This gap hinders the creation of adaptive urban policies that respond to the sequence of events and daily activities affecting pollution in cities.

Objective: To describe the mortality profile and analyze the spatiotemporal distribution of COVID-19 mortality among international migrants residing in Brazil from 2020 to 2022.
Methods: This is a descriptive and ecological cross-sectional study using secondary data. Absolute and relative frequencies of the sociodemographic profile and mortality coefficients (MCs) were analyzed.
For the application scenario of multi-user, high-bandwidth laser communication in satellite internet, this paper proposes a spatiotemporal vector optimization algorithm to achieve high energy utilization in arbitrary multi-beam generation using a liquid crystal optical phased array antenna. The core components of this method involve optimizing phase offsets and power coefficients through iterative processes to achieve precise beam shaping and efficient energy distribution among multiple beams. This approach overcomes the single-link limitation of traditional laser terminals and resolves challenges such as low radiation efficiency and substantial power loss in multi-beam generation systems utilizing passive phased array antennas.

In this study, we analytically derive the expressions for the centroid shifts of spatiotemporal vortex pulses by applying the Fresnel-Snell formulas to each plane wave in the incident spatiotemporal vortex pulse spectrum. We demonstrate that the longitudinal shifts are correlated with the angular shifts, and thus, both are subject to resonant enhancement in the vicinity of the Brewster angle.
