Background: Hyperaldosteronism involves complex, multidisciplinary management, including clinical testing, radiological exams, and adrenal venous sampling (AVS). This study assesses AVS outcomes at a large referral center, focusing on cannulation success, lateralization of aldosterone-producing adenomas, and correlation with radiological and surgical findings.
Methods: A retrospective review of 153 patients who underwent AVS from September 2016 to January 2024 was conducted.

NOD-like receptors are significant contributors to the immune response of fish against different types of pathogen invasion. NOD1 and NOD2 genes of yellow catfish (Tachysurus fulvidraco) were identified and characterized in this study. Yellow catfish NOD1 and NOD2 have open reading frames (ORFs) of 2841 and 2949 bp, encoding 946 and 982 amino acids, respectively.

Background: Coffee is a physiologically active food component prevalent throughout the world, but the association between caffeine intake and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) has been limited in extensive epidemiological studies.
Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study to evaluate the association between caffeine intake and BPH in adults in the United States using data from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2005-2008. Caffeine intake (mg/day) was evaluated based on a 24-h dietary recall.

Objectives: To determine the prevalence of occult endometrial carcinoma in patients with endometrial intraepithelial neoplasia (EIN) post-hysterectomy and identify pre-hysterectomy risk factors predictive of occult carcinoma.
Methods: This retrospective study included patients diagnosed with EIN between 2007 and 2021 who underwent hysterectomy as primary treatment. An expert gynecologic pathologist reviewed pathological slides.

Objective: To explore independent risk factors and to establish a predictive model for postoperative urinary retention (POUR) following transabdominal preperitoneal inguinal hernia repair (TAPP).
Methods: Between January 2017 and December 2023, 598 patients with inguinal hernia who underwent TAPP at the General Surgery Department of Zunyi Medical University Affiliated Liupanshui Hospital were enrolled in the study. Participants were randomly divided into training and validation sets (7:3 ratio).
