Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) poses a significant clinical challenge, necessitating the integration of immunotherapeutic approaches. Palbociclib, a selective CDK4/6 inhibitor, has demonstrated promising efficacy in preclinical HCC models and is being evaluated as a novel therapeutic option in clinical trials. Additionally, CDK4/6 inhibition induces cellular senescence, potentially influencing the tumor microenvironment and immunogenicity of cancer cells.

Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are promising molecules in diverse fields, including aquaculture. AMPs possess lytic effects on a wide range of pathogens, resulting in a potential replacement for traditional antimicrobials in aquaculture. In addition, they also have modulatory effects on host immune responses.

The study aimed to investigate the immunomodulatory effects of propranolol hydrochloride (PRO) in combination with chitosan nanoparticles (CS NPs) as an adjuvant to develop an effective vaccine against T. gondii. A total of 105 BALB/c mice were randomly divided into seven equal groups including PBS alone, CS NPs, SAG1 (Surface antigen 1), CS-SAG1 NPs, CS-PRO NPs, SAG1-PRO, and CS-SAG1-PRO NPs.

Background: Patients with palliative-stage cancer often suffer from a variety of debilitating symptoms which have been shown to appear in clusters. It is suggested that cytokines cause many such symptoms, and elevated cytokine production has been shown to correlate with symptoms. However, symptom clusters have not been thoroughly analyzed in relation to cytokine clusters.
