Purpose: The impact of ventriculomegaly (VM) on cortical development and brain functionality has been extensively explored in existing literature. VM has been associated with higher risks of attention-deficit and hyperactivity disorders, as well as cognitive, language, and behavior deficits. Some studies have also shown a relationship between VM and cortical overgrowth, along with reduced cortical folding, both in fetuses and neonates.

Obesity leads to a number of health problems, including learning and memory deficits that can be passed on to the offspring via a developmental programming process. However, the mechanisms involved in the deleterious effects of obesity on cognition remain largely unknown. This study aimed to assess the impact of obesity on the production of sphingolipids (ceramides and sphingomyelins) in the brain and its relationship with the learning deficits displayed by obese individuals.

Background: Skeletal dysplasia (SD) represents a series of highly heterogeneous congenital genetic diseases affecting the human skeletal system. Refined genetic diagnosis is helpful for the accurate diagnosis and prognosis evaluation of SDs.
Materials And Methods: In this study, we recruited 26 cases of SD and analyzed them with a designed sequential genetic detection.

Background: Intrauterine insemination (IUI) is an effective and inexpensive method of managing patients with unexplained and male factor infertility. It is attempted before proceeding to more invasive assisted reproductive techniques such as fertilisation and intracytoplasmic sperm injection. Numerous semen parameters have been assessed to indicate successful outcomes with IUI.

Background: Cancer treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy often compromise fertility by damaging gonadal function, creating a critical need for fertility preservation options. Despite advancements in fertility preservation techniques, there is a significant lack of research focused on their application in Asian cancer patients and their utilisation remains underexplored in this population.
Aim: This study aims to evaluate the utilisation rates and outcomes of cryopreserved gametes in cancer patients who underwent fertility preservation before their cancer treatment.
