In selected cases of Hereditary Haemorrhagic Telangiectesia with severe, life-threatening epistaxis, a new surgical procedure has been performed. It consists of a thorough, near total excision of the diseased nasal mucosa and its replacement by an amniotic memebrane graft. The surgical details dealing with preparation of the amniotic graft are described. Surgery has been performed by this technique in six cases. During 9 to 30 min months of follow-up, no nasal bleeding has occurred and the haemoglobin level has remained normal. The aminiotic membrane has served as an adequate grafting material for the lining of the nasal chambers.

Traditional root canal therapy (RCT) effectively removes diseased or necrotic pulp tissue and replaces it with inorganic materials. Regenerative endodontics is an alternative to conventional RCT by using biologically based approaches to restore the pulp-dentin complex. This review explores emerging techniques, including autogenic and allogenic pulp transplantation, platelet-rich fibrin, human amniotic membrane scaffolds, specialized pro-resolving mediators, nanofibrous and bioceramic scaffolds, injectable hydrogels, dentin matrix proteins, and cell-homing strategies.

Neurotrophic keratitis is a rare eye condition characterised by reduced or absent corneal sensation. This leads to impaired corneal healing through a loss of protective mechanisms such as blinking. A woman in her 50s underwent simple limbal epithelial transplantation (SLET) in the left eye for chemical injury with total limbal stem cell deficiency. A seroma, a hitherto unreported complication of the procedure was noted on the 10th postoperative day. It was associated with an accumulation of inflammatory cells and exudates in the inferior part of the amniotic membrane resembling a hypopyon.

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the effect of placental membrane covering of the omphalocele sac on the healing of giant omphaloceles requiring silo repair that could not be treated primarily.
Methods: This prospective study was performed between October 2021 and October 2023 with the approval of our hospital's ethics committee. All pregnant women diagnosed with prenatal giant omphalocele were informed that their own placenta could be used for omphalocele repair if necessary, and their consent was obtained.
