Background: Parkinson's disease (PD) is one of the most common neurodegenerative disorders. Previous research has confirmed that isofraxidin can reduce macrophage expression and inhibit peripheral inflammation. However, its effects on the central nervous system remain underexplored.

Aripiprazole (ARI) is an atypical antipsychotic which is a substrate of P-glycoprotein (P-gp), a transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in eliminating potentially harmful compounds from the organism. ARI once-monthly (AOM) is a long-acting injectable form which improves treatment compliance. Genetic polymorphisms in ABCB1 may lead to changes in P-gp function, leading to individual differences in drug disposition.

Wood membrane: A sustainable electrochemical platform for enzyme-free and pretreatment-free monitoring uric acid in bodily fluids.

Anal Chim Acta

School of Forensic Medicine, China Medical University, No.77 Puhe Road, Shenyang, Liaoning, 110122, China. Electronic address:

The detection of biomarkers is crucial for assessing disease status and progression. Uric acid (UA), a common biomarker in body fluids, plays an important role in the diagnosis and monitoring of conditions such as hyperuricemia, chronic kidney disease, and cardiovascular disease. However, the low concentration of UA in non-invasive body fluids, combined with numerous interfering substances, makes its detection challenging.

Background: It is now widely acknowledged that diet, lifestyle, and environmental exposures largely affect an individual's metabolic state in health and disease, including the brain. Metabolomics has demonstrated its potential to enable exciting discoveries in brain health, facilitated by advances in analytical and informatics techniques. Here, we highlighted the use of MS/MS-based untargeted metabolomics to study the diet and medication exposure of cognitively declined cohorts through the newly developed FoodMASST and DrugMASST tools.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the loss of dopaminergic neurons and the accumulation of alpha-synuclein. Glutathione (GSH), a key antioxidant, is significantly depleted in PD patients. This study presents a dual-mode detection strategy for selectively determining GSH using a single probe.
