Background: Vagal paragangliomas (VPs) are rare tumors in the upper cervical region. Although surgical resection is the standard treatment for these tumors, it carries significant risks due to the tumor's high vascularity and proximity to vital structures. Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) for skull base paraganglioma could be a minimally invasive alternative.

Background: Acinic cell carcinomas (AcCCs), rare malignancies of the salivary glands, often recur and metastasize, particularly in the skull base. Conventional radical resection can be invasive for skull base AcCCs adjacent to cranial nerves and major vasculature, and the effectiveness of stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) as an alternative is not well established.
Observations: This case report details the application of SRS for recurrent skull base AcCCs.

Background And Purpose: The differential fit index (dFI) and cumulative fit index (cFI) were defined in our previous study to evaluate the fit of isodose surfaces to the target volume. They were only applicable to plans for a single target volume. Therefore, this study aimed to generalize these indices for evaluating plans for multiple target volumes and different prescribed doses.

Background: Normal tissue complication probability (NTCP) models can be useful to estimate the risk of fibrosis after breast-conserving surgery (BCS) and radiotherapy (RT) to the breast. However, they are subject to uncertainties. We present the impact of contouring variation on the prediction of fibrosis.

We present a case of a 61-year-old male who presented with an 8-month history of left hypacusis, tinnitus, and gait imbalance. MRI showed a vascular lesion in the left internal auditory canal (IAC). Angiogram showed a vascular lesion filling from the ascending pharyngeal and anterior inferior cerebellar artery (AICA) with drainage into the sigmoid sinus suggestive of either a dural arteriovenous malformation (dAVF) vs arteriovenous malformation (AVM) of the IAC.
